Mixed media book!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share a mixed media project that I had the honor of playing with from The Paper Bakery. Yes, this month the mixed media kit includes a book and I must say it it of utmost quality! I have played with different books before, but never of this quality....wow! You really want this one!

 

Here is what I did with the cover:

 

 

This is made from a high quality kraft material and the pages are fabulous to paint, spray and sew on!

The blue/green is from spray that is included in the mixed media "Fun day" kit. The red chevron sticker and the 'me' alpha's is from this month's scrapping "Pay day" kit. The black and white washi tape and the numbers are from last month's mixed media kit.

 

 

the star is the backside of the embellie bag that is included in all the 'scrapping' kits.

The alphas that I used on this was some that I had in my stash, but everything else is from the kit.

Christmas blessings!

Hi everyone! It's really starting to feel like Christmas isn't it!!!! I am so loving visiting everyone's blogs and seeing all the gorgeous holiday creations at this time of the year....yes, Christmas is my favorite time of the year with all the sparkle and joy it has to offer!. Today I'd like to share a lo that I did with my Zeus and Zoe kit. Yup, I tried the 6 x 12 size not too long ago and loved it so I thought I'd give it a whirl again!

 

 

That gorgeous background paper with the garland, and the wonderful flower swirl near the pic is all from my fabulous kit. I love the gorgeous colors that Marivic puts together for her kits and now you can get a custom kit with a mix of colors that you enjoy!

Z&Z Shine and Sparkle challenge!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share a lo that I did for the latest Zeus and Zoe "Shine and Sparkle" challenge! What a fun challenge this one is.....this month, we would like to see some shine and sparkle on your project! Yes, it's that easy....the key is we need to see at least three of something that's shiny and that sparkles. It can be three things that are the same, like in my lo, where I used three sparkle dots, from my Zeus and Zoe kit, or you can use three differnt things. You can go here for all the details.

 

 

Don't you just love that background pp! I really like the reds mixed with the pinks...I think it is so pretty! This pp as well as the sparkles, vintage postcard, paper text, and felt star came from my Zeus and Zoe kit. And now, Marivic is offering custom made kits! Christmas lo!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share a Christmas lo that I did of my dd's using the latest Paper Bakery add-on "Street Lamp" scrapping kit. I really love the woodgrain pp. So easy to work with and I think it just really makes all the other goodies 'pop' off the page!

 

 

Love the 'Christmas frame' in this kit too. And I think the 'jubilee' ticket adds a fun holiday spirit to the page.

Christmas ornie!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share a little ornie that I made with the new Paper Bakery scrapping kit "Street Lamp". It's hard to believe that Christmas is right around the corner...and now is the time to start making those fabulous decorations and gifts that we've been thinking about. This new kit has a lot of fun Holiday goodies in it and yet so much that can be used for the everyday events that we want to capture.

Berry 71 Bleu challenge ~ guest designer!

Hi everyone! Yippee! I am so excited to share today's post because not only was I able to be a guest designer to my sister blog, Berry 71 Bleu, I was given the opportunity to play with some 7 dots Studio papers, alphas, and embellies!!! How exciting the 7 dots Studio lines are to play with! Love them!!! And now at Berry 71 Bleu, there is a fabulous challenge by Bellaidea going on this month. Yup, that's right, Bellaidea's challenge to you is to break some rules and have fun! Here it is: 

 

For this challenge there is only one criteria -

FORGET ABOUT MODERATION AND GO CRAZY!

Do something the way you have never done before.

Mix together bold or unusual colours , add texture

& unusual embellishments.

 

For me, the minimalist, I must say I went crazy with this lo. I started with the amazing 7 dots Studio paper, added the wall mask, inked up some lettering and then added more 7 dots Studio "Hopefully" paper in the shape of circles. Then I added fun pom pom and doily trim along with the vintage button and sparkling bling spots from my Zeus and Zoe kit. To pull this all together, I added a 7dots "Domestic Goddess" tag, some advertisement info. and some unusual embellies.

Christmas tag!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share a Christmas tag that I made with The Paper Bakery add-on scrapping kit "Street Lamp". I love everything about this new one! The papers and embellies are sooooooooo yummy and just so versatile! I love kits like that. Don’t you love the rich upbeat festive colors! I was able to make this tag from one of the images on one, of many, fabulous pp’s that are included in this kit! The complimentary star is from another pp. The blue color around the edges is from one of the Gelatos from last month’s “Canned Blueberries” Mixed Media kit. I really enjoyed the creamy texture and the ease that it went on with.

See those fun trees…they are Mistables. Yes, this kit has a full package of Studio Calico mistables that has all kinds of trees and sweet houses in it. Just think of the lo’s or adorable cards you could make with them!

Getting messy!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share a couple of projects that I made with my Zeus and Zoe kit. The first is an upcycled book. I took an old music sheet, painted it, crumbled it and then added it to my gesso prepared book. From there I used that sweet stamp and then started to add my embellies. I just love the way the clock and star makes it feel like a moment in time with a "kindred" feel.

One of the great things about this kit, is that is has old vintage embellies as well as up to date new ones. Don't you just love the touch of the blue bling on the crown...I was so pleased that Marivic even thinks of the tinyest things to put in them!

 

And in my neck of the woods, it is now Fall. Yup, you guessed it, my kit included some Fall goodies as well, so I made this canvas.

 

 

I started with some old sewing paper, that was in my kit, and from there I added paint, and then I made the pumpkin from the pp she added and then topped it off with some pieces of leaves and berries and a sweet little "enjoy the season" sign that was also in the kit.

 I must say, Marivic certainly know how to match everything sooooooooooooo well! I just love these kits to bits, and now she is offering custom made kits! Yup, just let her know what your looking for. How awesome is that!

Memories all wrapped up!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to show you a little package of memeories/stuff I like, all wrapped up, that I made with my fun Paper Bakery "Welcome Home" add-on scrapping kit. Yup, I took the AC pp in the kit and cut up the squares, then I painted them, added the fun alphas and pics and then wrapped them all up with the very high quality ribbon, that was included in the kit and topped it off with the kit embellie tag. Wouldn't this also make for a nice gift for someone that had a baby shower or wrap up a holiday and give it to someone special......I feel last years Christmas party coming on all wrapped up as little gifts to be given out at this years party....lol!

Mixed scrapbooking styles challenge!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share a lo that I did for the Paper Dvizhnik mixed scrapbooking styles challenge. For this challenge, they would like you to use a mixture of scrapbooking styles. The minute I saw this challenge, I knew I wanted to do it....how fun! For me I tried to incorporate a tad of retro, romantic, in the sense of loving something (Greek style yogurt), a pinch of grunge, vintage (yeah! love vintage), clean & simple, playful (as in mix), mixed media, and yes, there is some doodling at the top and bottom of the page....yup, I think I got most styles in there! Lol!

 

 

Honestly, I just love this yogurt. I have two of these everyday....sometimes even three. Yup, this is something that's noteworthy enough to scrap! Lol!

Shelter journal page!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share a journal page that I did for the latest Sodalicious journal challenge page. For this challenge, they would like you to use the word "shelter" in some way, so  I decided to do a page about our cat. We got him in a shelter about 15 yrs. ago. I went into the shelter with my two daughters and came out with him. At the time, he looked aweful....someone had found him and called the shelter. The shelter picked him up and cut a lot of his fur off due to matting and he was super skinny. When we saw him in the cage, my oldest daughter said she would like to take him in the playroom to check him out. He was so loving and just curled up in her lap. I must say, I have never seen a cat so loving in my life. He is always giving kisses and cuddles up to you constantly. My page is about my promise to shelter him always.....to never have him lost in the wilderness, as he once was, without food or shelter.

Zeus and Zoe Banner challenge!

Adventure mini!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share an adventure mini book that I made using The Paper Bakery scrapping kit "Welcome Home". My main staples for this little adventure book was made using the sticker book and neat kraft pp included in the kit. 

 

 

I then decorated the cover using some of the other sweet embellies, that came with the kit. For my pages, I decided to showcase some of our adventures from this year. I thought this would be a good way to hold the fun adventures close to our hearts.

 

These are the first couple of pages. I thought I'd document the new garden that I put in behind our garage, which was made from dividing other plants from our yard. I also wanted to get in a page of zip lining that hubby and I did. Loved it...soooooooooooooo much fun!

Here are a few more pages. Hubby and I went to Vermont to take pics of the leaves, which are just gorgeous at this time of the year. We ended up going to this super neat country store and then came upon some wine tasting....what a fun day! Yeah!

The Paper Bakery ~ Converse lo!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share a lo that I did using The Paper Bakery Oct.scrapbooking kit "Welcome Home". I just love everything about this kit! Such fabulous goodies and papers that match soooooooooooooooo well! Just look at the way the papers and stickers bring life to the simple pic of my sneakers....which make me ridiculously happy when you're talking about the sneaker category! Lol!

 

 

The wording, triangles, and rectangle strip on top of the pic are all cut out from stickers that come in the kit....yup, a full package jammed packed with yummy stickers is only one of the embellies in this kit...yippee!

Z&Z sewing inspiration!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share a sewing inspiration board that I did for my sewing/craft room with my amazing Zeus and Zoe kit. For this board, I  took an old music sheet, sewing pattern cover, sewing directions, a button,  hook and eye pack, and an old vintage cloth, all from the kit, and then I  adhered it onto a board. Since I love, love, love anything vintage, I thought this would  give me some inspiration while I'm creating something.

This kit is just  loaded with gorgeous vintage and vintage style goodies that are so easy to use!
